We will review examples of non-graded uses like lecture delivery, discussion boards, class introductions, syllabus review, and virtual office hours.

In this workshop, we’ll explore how VoiceThread can bring some of the best parts of an oral exam into an asynchronous, scalable format. Faculty are turning to oral assessment to get beyond AI-generated work and hear how students actually think. The challenges are time and scale. With VoiceThread, students can record themselves working through a problem, explaining their thinking, and responding to follow-up questions from peers or instructors.

This is for people who use VoiceThread in Brightspace. In this hands-on workshop, you will get to practice creating assignments through VoiceThread’s Assignment Builder. We will work on the new “Stacked Assignments”, along with the standard Create and Comment assignments. You will see how students submit assignments, and we will review the Instructor’s grading interface, including the new rubric interface.
